Holiday season

Whats new friends? DetroitGTX here. Lately we have had a LOT of old timers, veterans come on the server who haven't played 42 in years. We are greatly honored, and happy to see this. This has also generated a buzz with some new atf'ers from other divisions, coming over to check out what we are all about. Very happy to see this as well. This game is one of a kind and will never die. That being said, our server will have it's doors open until the very last gunshot is fired. I have a few questions, you guys can comment below and answer! 1) Have you played BF3 yet? I have, and love it! What do you enjoy most about it? What do you hate most about it? 2) What is your FAVORITE map in Battlefield 1942? What is your LEAST favorite? 3) Do you listen to music while you play? If so, what are your favorite songs to jam to? I will be highlighting different music throughout the next few weeks and sharing our selections with you as well. By the end of the segment, we will be able to listen to each others picks and maybe find something new we like! Please comment, and we'll chat again soon!

New Battlefield 3 footage!

Hey guys. Just found out they released another Battlefield 3 single player in game footage video. Pretty cool stuff. What do you think? Pros, cons? Don't worry. They said they would focus on the Multiplayer PC version first and foremost. They know that is their biggest audience.

Passing the torch...

Hey fellow ATF'ers and fans/friends of ATF! Your new blog master- DetroitGTX at your service. It has been a while since this blog has been updated, and I didn't want it to go to the wayside! From here on out, expect some great stuff to be posted- mostly related to Battlefield and gaming! Go ahead, bookmark the blog page... i'll wait for you. Hurry up. Okay, welcome back. I'm gonna start off by sharing an electrifying video for one of the biggest anticipated games of 2011- Battlefield 3. I will post some new updates when I hear about them. In the mean time, enjoy the video! Wow, right? Also, Check out this preview of this game that just went into beta called APB: Reloaded. Funny story behind APB- It was a released game last year. Something happened and it was shut down. Well politics aside it is back, no longer under any affiliation with the previous companies that it operated under. And that is a good thing for us- because this time around the game looks flawless. I'm still waiting on my beta key for this one... YESSSS!!!

So after GameSpy started having issues with their 42 servers, everyone the world over had issues with their multiplayer menu — it would freeze. Within days the Battlefield 1942 community created workarounds using PC shortcuts, great for PC users, not so great for Macintosh users. ATF_Flyproud took the initiative and emailed a programmer at EA to inform them of the issue; they immediately set to work to fix the problem. And as of 5:40pm EST, Battlefield 1942 works once again. Thank you, Flyproud! *S*
